I saw an article about the Madan theatres in Parsiana several months ago and was delighted to see that Allahabad had 3. The Palace on MG road (then known as Canning Rd) finally moved over to the ownership of my grandfather Shapoorjee Ghandhi and family. It is still operated by a member of the family.
As a kid I enjoyed many movies there and I collected pamphlehem advertising different movies. Most of them ones I recall were in English
